Our Santa Cruz Platform Bed with Trundle Bed is made in the USA from solid Poplar hardwood. The Rustic Walnut finish adds warmth and charm while enhancing the beauty of the natural wood grain. This sturdy platform bed frame and trundle frame feature unfinished horizontal support slats which lock into place, creating a rattle free platform for your mattress. The included trundle bed has 4 large wooden wheels which roll easily on carpet or hard floors. Trundle bed accomodates a mattress up to 8" thick. With the purchase of our optional Height Kit a 10" thick mattress may be used on the trundle. (mattresses not included). Please note: The trundle bed is a free rolling platform which stays low to the ground and is not a Pop-Up trundle. Made in the USA. Assembly required

We got this bed for our son's room about a year ago. It shipped quickly and was easy to put together. The construction is solid. It should last for many years.

This trundle is the perfect addition to our play room - not too big, but great for reading time or nap time. Also, the trundle slides under easily, but will be great when we need a place to sleep another body. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, especially the fact that's it all real wood.

After reading other reviews, I went ahead and ordered this trundle bed with the optional mission-style slat ends. I also ordered it in the unfinished raw wood so I could stain it to my taste. The bed and trundle were easy to put together by myself and the raw wood took the rustic walnut stain beautifully. The bed is solid, great looking, and is very comfortable for guests. Great quality purchase at a great price!

The bed was very easy to put together. It took my boyfriend and I about an hour to put together. The bed is solid wood and very sturdy. It's perfect for our guest bedroom. The only thing I would recommend they change is to put a lip around the edges where the mattress sits on top. It's just a flat surface and the mattress kind of slides around a bit. Other than that we love it!

I just received this bed today and am already impressed with it.The bed is lightweight but solid hardwood(poplar).Not just some wood and some mdf but ALL wood.Very impressed.The bed is a simplistic design that I love.It fits beautifully in my girls room and doesnt take up any more space than the actual matttress because of the design.No giant head/footboard in the way taking up valuable room space or digging into slanted ceilings.My girls have been playing and jumping on it for hours now and they love it.The bed is so simple that I think even I could have built it from scratch,with NO kind of carpentry know how at all.All in all if you need a simple,economically priced,small footprint bed you'd be hard pressed to find better.I would absolutely buy this bed again if needed and highly recommend.

Great beds for small spaces. Simply bought two twin mattresses at Sam's and we were set! My bottom mattress is 8 inches tall and the trundle can easily be moved. We have carpet and it was hard to get a grip on the trundle base though, so we added a ribbon to pull it easily. Real wood, well made and made here in the States! Very easy to assemble. Perfect!

If you are looking for a simple, sturdy twin bed with an easy-to-pull-out trundle, this is your bed! It took me about an hour to put together. Simple instructions. We are thrilled with the product and I highly recommend it!

Very happy with this product. I did not know that it was real wood, I expected compost. The assembly was okay. I was able to build the bed up until when you need to attach the legs. Make sure you get a power drill because its pretty difficult to screw it in (no exageration its difficult to screw in the legs). Other then that bed its great and the trundle moves easily.

So far, it is great. We have not actually used it yet as we bought it for an extra bed for Christmas guests. But it went together well and seems to be very sturdy.

We got this bed last fall for my then 3 year old son and it has been great! It's a simple yet functional design and we have gotten a surprising amount of use out of the trundle. Only catch is that the trundle has to have no higher than an 8 inch mattress or it won't fit. We keep the trundle pulled out a couple of feet to create a step up (or soft landing should he fall out). Twin beds are a bit cramped for adults but I highly recommend this one for kids.

Got this set for our toddler, since second baby is on the way. I put it together and it was simple assembly, seems made well. Trundle rolls easily. My son couldn't wait to jump in bed, and the trundle is working perfect for his first bed transition. I think the set will work perfect in our shared kids room, also when guests come. Great set for the price.
